Spring Beauty Tag

I thought I would come up with a tag relevant to Spring as I haven't made my own tag before and I thought it'd be fun! Most of the questions are going to be Spring related, so here you go:

1. Do you change up your makeup when Spring arrives? If so, how?

As it gets warmer, I might change my foundation to a more light coverage (as my makeup will just sweat off anyway). I might also wear some bright eyeshadow colours and coral lipsticks (but not together!)

2. What's your favourite Spring fragrance?

I recently did a post about my favourite Spring/Summer perfume, which is DKNY Be Delicious, as it's sweet and fruity. However, I do like the smell in the morning when it's crisp and sunny outside!

3. What's going to be your favourite accessory this Spring?

I'm going to get myself a pastel coloured bag, which I will probably take everywhere. I might also get a thin scarf with flowers on, something like that.

4. What's going to be your most worn item of clothing this Spring?

A cardigan and my denim jacket. I love wearing a denim jacket in Spring!

5. What are your Top 3 favourite Spring nail polishes?

I also did a post on my Favourite Spring/Summer nail polishes hehe! So probably 'Ceramic Blue' by Maybelline, 'Charming' by Revlon and 'Fuchsia' by Barry M.

6. Do you prefer pumps or sandals in Spring?

Depends on what I'm wearing! Maybe pumps in Spring, as it's not incredibly warm!

7. What's your favourite Spring jacket?

My denim jacket, a hoodie or a nice blazer.

All Bloggers, Great And Small Tag

I am so grateful that I've been tagged by Emily from http://emsoyz.blogspot.co.uk/ as she mentioned that I'm one of her favourites blogs at the moment, which is lovely to hear! So thank you so much!

Basically, this tag is to show appreciation and to give attention to blogs that have fewer than 1000 followers, but that you feel deserve more than that. So, here are the questions...

1. What makes you want to blog?

I just love writing! That's it really. I love having something fun to do in my spare time and also reading lovely comments. When you know people are reading your blog, it gives you motivation to write more posts.

2. Your morning skin routine?

I don't like to do much to my skin in the morning, I tend to do more at night! In the morning, I tend to wash my face, maybe use the L'Oréal Micellar Solution and apply Olay Total Effects moisturiser before applying my makeup.

3. Your favourite blogger?

Hmm, I honestly don't know! I usually scan my timeline on Bloglovin' and read whatever interests me that day! I have many blogs that I like! :-)

4. A beauty product you can't live without?

Definitely mascara! Also, powder as I have quite oily skin!

5. Your favourite drugstore makeup brand?

Rimmel or L'Oréal.

6. Your favourite high end makeup brand?

I don't usually buy high end products because...well, they're high end; too expensive for me to be splashing out on! However, I'd say Clinique and Benefit (are they even high end brands?! I'm clueless! I don't buy them often haha!)

7. What is your staple wardrobe item?

Well at the moment I'd have to say my black corkscrew wedges (which you'll find in my outfit of the night post from a couple of weeks ago). They're comfortable and I find that they go with plenty of my outfits!

8. What product wouldn't you recommend?

Probably the TRESemmé Dry Shampoo; I've found that it doesn't work as well as the Batiste one in my opinion!

1. What made you start blogging?

I enjoyed reading other blogs and had a lot of spare time, so decided to fill that time by doing something that I knew I would enjoy!

2. How do you define beauty?

I don't think you can define beauty really, because "beauty is in the eye of the beholder". Just being an overall lovely person will contribute to your beauty and the way others see you.

3. What in life gives you the satisfaction of happiness?

This is a tricky one! I can't really answer, it just depends on how I'm feeling that day in order to determine what would give me happiness, as sometimes it's the smallest things.

4. What are your favourite cosmetic brands?
I'd have to say ELF, No.7 and Rimmel as they are the majority of my makeup products.

5. What kind of post do you like to read most?
I love rhyming questions! Hehe! Probably hauls, reviews of something that I've been wanting to buy etc.

6. What is your fashion style?

I wouldn't say that I have a particular style that can be labelled; I guess the majority of my clothes are from H&M, which are quite basic. I usually wear whatever I feel like wearing that day! :-)

7. What is your favourite OPI nail polish?

Is it bad that I don't own any? Ooops, sorry!

8. Who is your favourite Youtuber?
I don't watch beauty gurus as much as I used to, but I still make sure to watch Zoella's videos :-)

9. What is your dream job/career?
I honestly don't know! (I'm not very good at answering these questions am I?!) I'm not sure what I want to do in the future, just something that will make me happy so that I look forward to going to work everyday.

10. What are your beauty holy grail products?

Definitely my No.7 mascara, powder, Olay moisturiser and concealer.

Final Week: I'm A Beauty Blogger, Get Me Out Of Here Tag!

1) Big congratulations! You won last week’s bush tucker trial. Your reward is the chance to create your own perfume. What ingredients/scents would you choose?

Probably a girly, floral scent! Something sweet and fresh!

2) Around the campfire you’re all sharing tips. What is the best advice you can give someone to keep your skin healthy?

Just to make sure you take your makeup off every night and use a toner to make sure it's all removed to stop your pores from clogging up! Also to moisturise! But to be honest you should just eat healthy and drink plenty of water; that keeps your skin looking healthy naturally.

3) How do you think your camp mates would describe you?

Ermm, probably kind and sensitive haha! And quiet at first, but after I've got to know them all I'd come out of my shell more.

4) You're missing your family and friends so to bring a bit of comfort to the jungle you are given the opportunity to send one twitter message (max 140 characters). Who would you text and what would you say?

I'd send a message to my mum along the lines of: "Don't worry, I'm doing ok. Hope all's well, can't wait to see you!!"

5) You’ve made it to the final two and are awarded the classic three course meal. What would you choose for starter, main and dessert?

For starter, I would choose barbeque ribs or chicken wings! My main would be a roast dinner and for afters, I'd say either a cheesecake or chocolate brownie with ice-cream!

6) You’re out of the jungle and the luxury hotel awaits! What will be the first thing you will do?

Probably jump on the bed! I'd eat everything in sight and have a two hour shower! Might as well make the most of the facilities;)

7) Now you’re out of the jungle and have all your luxuries back, what would be one product you have lived without and could continue to live without?

Either lipstick or bronzer.

1. I'm 18 and my date of birth is 25/09/95.
2. I'm from Yorkshire in England.
3. My hair is an unusual colour; a mix of ginger and blonde!
4. I've always loved experimenting with makeup; one time when I was 4, I covered my full face in pink lipstick and my dad went mad and had to scrub it off me haha!
5. I have a sister, Phoebe, who is four years younger than me.
6. I'm a very private person and I'm quite shy.
7. I love having a laugh - it's one of the things that keeps me sane!

1. What would your ideal career be?

Honestly just something that makes me happy, I'm not sure what I want to do yet! Something that I enjoy, that pays well and makes me want to get up in the morning!

2. What hobbies do you enjoy?

Blogging is my new hobby! I love reading other people's blogs and putting up new posts, it's exciting!:)

3. If you could go on holiday anywhere in the world, where would you go?

Hmm, I have never actually been abroad so I'd love to go anywhere really! Italy looks gorgeous, I'd love to go there.

4. Favourite drink?

I love a nice cup of tea, especially now that it's winter! But I also love water. But if I were to have an alcoholic drink, I'd choose a glass of white wine, or cider haha!

5. What one thing could you not live without in your wardrobe?

Jeans! That's all I really wear (as well as a top haha!) I just love skinny jeans as you can wear whatever you want with them!

Runaway Pink by ELF!

7. Favourite candle?

I don't use candles! My mum doesn't trust me with them;)

8. What is your favourite makeup brand?

Oooh, either ELF or No.7. I don't know really, my makeup collection consists of makeup from all sorts of different brands, I don't have a favourite. I might prefer No.7 mascara, but L'oréal foundation, so I don't know really!

9. What clothing shop do you mostly shop in?

H&M is my home!;) I usually buy clothes from there and Primark.

10. What do you do at the weekends?

I either spend it with friends or family, depends really. I might go to cinema or for a meal with friends, or out for the day with my family (including my dog haha!)

11. Do you have a YouTube channel? Would you like to start one?

I used to have a YouTube channel like 4 years ago, but my camera was rubbish and it was hard to film in my house so I stopped. I made one again when I was 16, racked up 100 subscribers but deleted it as I chickened out;) (I didn't exactly feel comfortable to be honest!) I decided to just start a blog instead, as I think it's best for me!:)

Week 2: I'm A Beauty Blogger, Get Me Out Of Here Tag!

1) Firstly congratulations! You won last week’s bush tucker trial and your reward is a makeover from a professional make-up artist. What look would you choose and why?

Probably just a natural everyday look! There's no point getting all glammed up in the jungle - as you're not going to stay looking good for long!

2) It’s time to wash – ok so it’s not in a luxury shower or a bath but you do get a choice of one soap/shower gel to use. What would you choose and why?

Hmm, maybe something from lush with natural ingredients! But I'm loving Soap & Glory at the minute so probably the shower gel from their collection.

3) Today is the arrival of a new camp mate, yay! You get to decide, it can be anyone this time. Who will you choose and why?

Ermm, oooh tricky one! Probably one of my best friends or maybe my sister! Someone from home, that will be comforting seeing as I'd be on the other side of the world!

4) It can get a little boring in the jungle and you’re feeling sluggish. What one fitness exercise would you do?

Maybe some squats or sit ups; nothing too energetic seeing as I'd have to save my energy for the trials!

5) How would you create your own jungle fashion style?

I love them bandanas that they wear! So I'd probably wear one of those with two plaits in my hair; true jungle style! ;)

6) What is your favourite Australian product and why?

I'm sorry but I don't think I know any!!

7) Good news, the camp has won the treasure chest hunt! In need of something sweet, each camp mate wins their own cupcake. What would yours be?

Mmm, probably a chocolate chip one with chocolate sauce in the middle! Or one with a lot of buttercream on top!

8) Challenge – bush tucker trial number 2, ‘the jungle hair & beauty salon’. You’re sitting under a vintage hair dryer and instead of hot air being blasted out you are greeted by 10,000 creepy crawlies. Which creepy crawlies would you detest the most and which ones wouldn’t you mind?

Erm, probably cockroaches seeing as they scurry about really fast, but I'd be more scared of the bigger animals to be honest! I wouldn't mind mealworms or the cute rats!;)

Week 1: I'm A Beauty Blogger, Get Me Out Of Here Tag!

1) You can only take one product into the jungle (aka your luxury item). What would you choose and why?

Either moisturiser or suncream! (I have fair skin so I'll burn very easily being in a hot country haha!) Actually, scrap that! MASCARA! I have blonde eyelashes and feel naked without any on! (This is a hard question!) hehe.

2) What would be your main pre jungle worry?

Having the pressure of doing a trial! I wouldn't want to let everyone down, plus if I had to deal with snakes in a trial; I don't mind bugs though!

3) You only have five minutes to get ready before going into the jungle, what would be your quick beauty routine?

I'd slap on a bit of tinted moisturiser, mascara and lip balm! Then I'm good to go.

4) Last year we saw Helen Flanagan wearing her hair in a top bun. What would be your signature hairstyle?

I'm really boring when it comes to hair, I usually just leave it down straight or curl it! But for trials, I'd tie it up in a messy bun, ponytail or have it in two plaits.

5) For moral support, which female celebrity would you like to be in the jungle with you?

Probably someone a bit older who'd look out for me in there, or someone who would be easy-going! So maybe Fearne Cotton or Nicole Scherzinger.

6) Everyone’s given a role in the camp. What lifestyle skill would you bring to the jungle?

Well definitely not cooking, I don't know how to cook kangaroo! I'd probably help people if they feel homesick or offer to wash people's clothes or something!

7) What one thing about being a beauty blogger sometimes makes you want to scream ‘Get Me Out Of Here’?

Well I haven't been blogging that long, so nothing in particular comes to mind! Maybe the fact that it's hard to get recognised and gain followers when you first start blogging.

8) Challenge – This is a once in a life time opportunity. You're up for a trial to face your fears or try something new, what would you choose to do and why?

If I really have to challenge myself, then maybe jumping out of a plane that they usually do at the beginning of the show; it would terrify me but it's meant to be amazing! Plus it would set you up for the rest of the show, being ready to conquer anything!
