Andrew Barton Gloss Boss Collection

I received this gift set for Christmas and I don't know about you, but whenever I get a new shampoo or conditioner, I can't wait to try it out! So, I decided to wash my hair with the Serious Shine Protection Shampoo and Conditioner.

First of all, the shampoo bottle is one that you pour and I usually don't like these due to spilling them. However, the conditioner is one that you squeeze. They feel very light on your hair when using them, which I like!

After leaving my hair in a towel for about half an hour, I used the Hot Iron Protection Spray and blow-dried my hair. I then used the Style Cremé and worked it through the ends of my hair.

I love this set; it made my hair smell sooo nice and left it feeling soft and sleek. I recommend buying a gift set like this for someone for their birthday; Andrew Barton products are affordable and great to use!

Quick Christmassy Update

I hope everybody had a lovely Christmas and got some great prezzies! I've had a nice couple of days chilling with my family, eating and watching films (and drinking wine!) I also got some lovely gifts, which I will incorporate into my blog posts within the next few weeks. At the moment, I'm sat in my Christmas pjs, as I'm still in the lazy, Christmas mood. I've managed to watch Elf a couple of times and have eaten enough to keep me going 'til next Christmas.

I can't wait to start reviewing my Christmas presents and indulge in more chocolate, mmm!

Not Long Now!

I can't believe Christmas is only four days away; December has passed so quickly! The tree is up, the decorations are scattered and I'm now onto the bigger chocolates in my advent calendar. I love the build up to Christmas; the songs, the films, the atmosphere. I love seeing lights outside people's houses and exchanging presents! I also love christmas evening telly and the week leading up to New Year's Day.

And obviously, the big christmas dinner - mmm!

It just makes me realise how lucky I am that I get all of this over Christmas; I get to spend it with my family, receive presents and have a meal prepared for me. Things that many of us take for granted each year.

I really hope this is the year we get a 'White Christmas' and I wish all of you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

I've been wearing my reindeer onesie from Next lately; it's soooo warm and cosy!!

What's In My Makeup Bag (Everyday)

Helllooo!

Okay, so I've decided to do a post about my everyday makeup. It's nothing extravagant; I try and stick to a natural look as I don't want to look like a completely different person when wearing makeup. I'm hoping to do some Christmassy posts within the next couple of weeks. I'm still trying to find decent lighting in my house, as I want my photos to be good quality. But for now, this will have to do until I find a good spot. So, let's get into it!

After moisturising, I apply my L'Oréal Infallible Long-Lasting Perfecting Foundation in the shade 'Porcelain'. I love this foundation; it's creamy and blends in well. I then apply either my ELF Maximum Coverage Concealer in the shade 'Porcelain' or my No7 Quick Cover Blemish Stick in the shade 'Fair', depending on what my skin is like that day. I find that with the blemish stick, it can clog up easily, especially if you have a dry patch of skin. The liquid concealer by ELF glides on easily and is good coverage.

My eyebrows are a tricky one; they are quite thick so I don't tend to fill them in all the time, it just depends on how they look that day. If I do decide to fill them in, I use No7 Beautiful Brows Pencil in shade 'Blonde'. It comes with a brush on the end as well, which is useful!

I then use a powder as I have quite oily skin; I tend to use Pressed Powder in the shade 'Neutral' by 17; it helps 'set' my makeup and makes my face look more matte, which hides the shine. I keep applying this powder throughout the day over my nose and forehead to help keep the shine to a minimum.

Seeing as I'm reallly pale (as you can probably tell by the amount of products in 'Porcelain' haha) I brush bronzing powder across my cheekbones, forehead, nose, chin and neck... everywhere really; just get it on!;) I use Shimmering Glow Powder by Collection 2000 in the shade 'Sunkissed'. I love that it has a slight shimmer to it, so that my face isn't completely matte.

I use Collection 2000 Kohl Eye Liner Pencil in 'Black' along my waterline; I try and accentuate my eyes the most as that is where I feel I need makeup, as my eyelashes are blonde. I feel naked without eyeliner and mascara!!

After curling my lashes with my No7 Lift And Curve Eyelash Curler I apply No7 Stay Perfect Mascara in 'Black'. This is one of the best mascaras I have stumbled across. I was looking for a good mascara for a while as every one that I had tried would end up rubbing off under my eye throughout the day and I was constantly having to blot it off! However, this mascara stays put all day, so I really recommend this!

I finish off with the ELF Therapeutic Lip Balm in 'Strawberry Creme' as it's really moisturising, especially now that my lips are dry because of the cold weather :(. I usually apply lipstick after, but I change it up everyday depending on my mood!

Winter Warmers: Big Socks

Hi everyone! This is a very random post but I absolutely LOVE these big socks haha! I can't get enough of them. Not only are they really cute but they're soooo warm and comfy. They're very thick and are fluffy inside, which helps to keep your feet nice and warm when lounging around the house.

The woolly, knitted texture makes them super soft and I love the pom-poms on the front. You can get them from Next in a variety of colours and I usually wear them around the house. I like to wear them instead of slippers, as they have grips on the bottom to make sure you don't slip on laminate flooring!

These socks can also make a great little Christmas present; I love getting presents like this for Christmas as they come in useful! Fluffy socks, onesies, gloves etc; I love presents like these!

Have a nice week everyone! :-)
